Let the fan theories start all over again.
Jake Gyllenhaal raises his eyebrows after appearing on a W magazine feature that appeared to be referencing Taylor Swift, whose latest album Red (Taylor’s Version) is full of lyrics that have been speculated to be about the 41-year-old actor. In a portrait taken by the photographer Tim Walker Jake was released on January 12th and wears a crimson button-down shirt with matching heart-shaped sunglasses on his head.
As Swifties know all too well, Taylor rocked similar-looking frames in her “22” music video from her Red-era, leading to speculation that the accessory was a nod to the 32-year-old singer.
“does he feel 22 ???” A fan commented on W Magazine’s Instagram post with Jake’s photo. Meanwhile, another quipped, “Red Shirt, The 22 Music Video Sunglasses !! Jake and Tim Walker woke up and chose violence.”
As if the scarlet sunglasses weren’t already causing a stir among the Swifties, InStyle noted in an online story published the same day the original caption read, “Red (Jake’s Version).” Needless to say, Swifties had thought about that too.
